The Stone House Facilities

The Stone House is a simple, beautiful, functional place where groups, large and small, can gather to practice, learn and strategize in the spirit of liberation. Facilities at The Stone House are available for rent to individuals and groups. Although not limited to the following, we especially welcome those doing work for social justice, peace, sustainability, anti-oppression, and spiritual grounding.
We also welcome individuals seeking a simple place of refuge or practice for short periods of time.
stone circles programming will start up again in the spring of 2008, so please check back for more information.

Our facilities include:
- A renovated 1940's farm house with a spacious sunny dining room and community kitchen that serves up to 35, sitting area and large deck.
- An 800 square-foot carpeted meeting and practice hall, additional spaces for breakout groups and conversation, and a small art room with many supplies.
- Three passive-solar cabins and additional bedrooms in the farmhouse provide cozy sleeping spaces for program participants or retreatants. At present we can accommodate up to 15 people overnight.
- Two small hermitage cabins for more solitary retreat are tucked into the wooded areas of the property.
- A beautiful wooden pavilion, wired for electricity, is perfect for outdoor celebrations, concerts, weddings and other special events.
- The land also has a 2-acre pond, small orchard, woods and an additional 40 acres of pasture.

Using the space:
At this early stage, The Stone House is not providing food directly; instead we’re offering full access to our large and well-equipped kitchen. Groups can cook for themselves or hire someone to cook. We can also provide referrals for catering/cooking upon request. We ask that you join us in making every effort to be conscious consumers, serving local food whenever possible and organic if not cost prohibitive.
At present, our fees are a suggested offering of $20-50/person overnight; $300-700 for day use by a group.

We can accommodate up to 15 people overnight in a combination of single and double rooms. Rooms are simple, with a mix of single and full-size beds, and shared bathrooms. All are heated with the exception of the two hermitages. Linens, towels and soap are provided, however if it’s easy for you to bring your own sheets and towels it helps us out tremendously and is greatly appreciated.
Wireless internet is available in the main meeting space and kitchen. Cell phone reception is very good for most people.
We sit in silence together every weekday from 11:30 am – 12:00 noon; all are welcome to join us.
We also welcome anyone who would like to work on the land during their stay.
