Long-term retreats allow a deeper level of inner connection and transformation. stone circles at The Stone House offers between 2 – 4 such retreats per year in a variety of styles, including the Vipassana meditation tradition, Open Dharma Deep Rest, and most recently, through the ZeNVC Center of North Carolina, Zen Buddhism. Long-term retreat participants have an opportunity to explore sitting or reclining meditation, walking and guided meditations, teachings from various wisdom traditions, instruction, interviews with retreat leaders and dharma talks, all within the backdrop of the stillness, community and nature that is at the core of The Stone House experience.

Our long-term retreats include a fee for housing, meals and materials. In keeping with tradition, participants also have the opportunity to offer “dana” or generosity for the teachings at the end of the retreat, to support the teachers and managers in continuing to freely offer and make the teachings accessible to all who seek them.
Please visit our calendar for a more information about upcoming longer retreats, including our October 2011 Open Dharma Deep Rest retreats.
