spirituality and social change

In 2003, stone circles gave support to Kaliya Young from Integrative Activism. Based in Berkeley, Kaliya keeps track of over 300 programs and organizations designed to bring spirituality and social change closer together. We have helped Kaliya to hone programmatic goals, develop a work plan, begin identifying the right technology for her data, and enlist additional partners for her work.

In December 2002, a group of six individuals organized, "Spirit and Social Change," a gathering for leaders engaged in bringing spiritual and transformative practice to progressive social change movements. Convened at the Quaker Center outside of Santa Cruz, CA this gathering provided a unique opportunity for heart-centered relationship building, laid the groundwork for ongoing support, and sparked a series of working groups. One of those working groups became the organizing circle for "Standing Together: A gathering for people bringing transformational practices to social change," which will take place at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY April 26-29, 2004. This gathering is by invitation.
